Kodiak (Bio)

Physical Facts:
Kodiak, a four and a half year old male, is the Leader of the Sera Serenade Pack. His fur is a dark brown gray mix, and he has dull, golden eyes which look more of a faded mustard color. He is huge in size, for he is all muscle when it comes to body structure. He towers above most wolves that he meets, and usually is able to take his foes down quickly because of his size and strength, as well as him being a very skilled fighter. His extremely thick fur added to his already large size makes him look even huger. His weakness however though, is that his speed and stamina aren't that great. He can run, just not the fastest or the longest. He is a very skilled hunter and tracker as well as a fighter, and has a higher tolerance for cold than most wolves do. You will rarely ever see him shiver even on the coldest winter nights.

Personality:
Because of Kodiak's past and having been dissapointed by two packs prior, he is very protective and loyal to the Sera Serenade. He puts their needs before his own, wanting to make sure they are safe and well so that the pack he has grown attached to stays healthy and strong and does not break apart like his second pack did. He is a good natured male, and rarely fights with his packmates unless necassary. In his birthpack he was constantly picked on by the leader because the leader was threatened by him, which is why he tries harder than most leaders to get along with his packmates. However, he isn't as kind to tresspassers, and is very intimidating when he wants to be. He can be downright scary when he gets angry, and looks like a demon when he fights. He will fight to the death to protect his pack, and would sacrifice himself for a pack member without even think twice about it. He likes to take risk and is considered to some a daredevil, even though he is very wise and knows how to let go and just let his instincts guide his paws to where they should land. He is intelligent, and has been called by some wolves a sort of philosopher.

Past:
Kodiak has had a rough past, seeing as he had been in two packs prior to leading the Sera Serenade. His first pack was located in Soda Butte Vista in the Ameythst Mountain region of Yellowstone. He lived happily there for three years, until he was chased out of the pack by the leader, for the lead male saw Kodiak as a threat because of his size and strength. He felt he could become dangerous for him if Kodiak ever decided to try and assume the lead male position. He didn't not want to take that chance, and that is why he ordered the pack to run Kodiak out. Not only was he forced to leave the pack, but he was also forced to leave his mate Athena behind, who had turned her back on him as well once the leader ordered Kodiak's exile.

As Kodiak left his birthpack and set off as a loner, he created his own pack in Fossil Forest, which was also located in the Ameythst Mountain region of Yellowstone. He called his pack "The Thundering Whisperers", and had many wolves come to join him. But as a few months went by, Kodiak's packmates began to leave him until he was the last of the Thundering Whisperers.

With the Thundering Whisperers broken up, Kodiak decided to migrate to the Slough Creek region of Yellowstone, for he could not bear to stay in the Amethsyt Mountain region anymore where all that had been given to him was pain and loss. When he arrived in the beautiful green Slough Creek region, he felt a sense of warmth that he hadn't felt since he had been kicked out of his birthpack. He felt as though he could start fresh in the Slough Creek region, living among the new wolves that inhabited the area. He created a home on Little Butte, finding the little mountain a small yet homey place. This when he began the Sera Serenade Pack, and some of the new wolves that inhabited the Slough Creek region joined him. He has never felt happier than he is now with leading the Sera Serenade Pack. However, he does occasionaly go off on his own through Slough Creek to think by himself, often about his past and what he did wrong for him to fail at being a pack member and to lose his mate. Sometimes he travels all the way to Upland Meadows, just walking and thinking. At times, during those quiet eerie nights, you may hear his howl echo through the Slough Creek region like a sad, forgotten song.
